Community Ventures will make at least 80% of its investments in targeted communities in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.

In some cases, entire counties qualify for investment (e.g. Coos County in New Hampshire) while in others, a small number of street blocks within a single township or city may be the only qualified area in an entire county (e.g. Old Port area of Portland, Maine in Cumberland County).
